Terms and conditions
These terms govern any sale concluded between Hufflelab Sàrl (hereafter “HELVA Nails”) and any customer placing an order on helvanails.com. By validating her order, the customer fully accepts these terms.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all sales of HELVA Nails products made online on helvanails.com. Any differing condition must be agreed in writing.
2. Ordering process
The presentation of products on the site constitutes an offer. The order is concluded once the customer confirms her basket, accepts these terms and receives a confirmation email. HELVA Nails reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of insufficient stock, obvious pricing error or suspicion of fraud.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in Swiss francs (CHF), all taxes included. As Hufflelab Sàrl is not subject to VAT (art. 10 of the Swiss VAT Act), prices do not include VAT. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout, before final validation.
4. Payment methods
- Bank card (Visa, Mastercard) via Stripe, with 3D Secure.
- TWINT (subject to availability, see payment page).
- Other methods occasionally offered at checkout.
The order is only validated once payment has been confirmed by our provider.
5. Delivery
Orders are shipped from Switzerland via Swiss Post or a partner carrier. Indicative lead times are specified on the Delivery page and at checkout. Pursuant to art. 185 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, the risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when the parcel is handed over to the carrier, where delivery takes place outside the seller’s usual place of business.
6. Warranty for defects
HELVA Nails products are covered by the statutory warranty for defects set out in articles 197 and following of the Swiss Code of Obligations. If a defect is noticed on receipt, the customer must inform us promptly at contact@helvanails.com, attaching a photo of the product and the order number. We will offer, at your choice, a free replacement or a full refund.
7. Return policy
HELVA Nails grants a 14-day window to return a kit unopened and in its original packaging, as a commercial gesture. This window is not a statutory right under articles 40a and following of the Swiss Code of Obligations, which do not apply to online sales in Switzerland. Full details in the Refund policy section.
8. Intellectual property
The HELVA Nails trademark, product visuals, texts and all graphic elements of the site are the exclusive property of Hufflelab Sàrl. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior written consent is prohibited.
9. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in the privacy policy section. The customer acknowledges having read it before validating her order.
10. Force majeure
HELVA Nails cannot be held liable for delay or non-performance resulting from a force-majeure event (natural disaster, carrier strike, administrative closure, major infrastructure outage). The order is then suspended or cancelled with a full refund.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This contract is governed exclusively by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute, jurisdiction lies at the registered office of Hufflelab Sàrl, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Privacy policy
This policy describes how Hufflelab Sàrl processes your personal data on helvanails.com, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revised FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable, the European GDPR for customers residing in the European Union.

Data collected and purposes
- Order: first and last name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone, payment data (processed directly by our payment provider). Purpose: performance of the sales contract. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Customer account: email, hashed password, order history. Purpose: simplify future purchases and order tracking. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Newsletter: email and first name if provided. Purpose: send our news and offers. Legal basis: consent.
- Browsing: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, cookies (see dedicated banner). Purpose: security, statistics, site improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interest or consent for non-essential cookies.
- Contact form: name, email, message. Purpose: reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Processors and international transfers
To deliver the service, we share certain data with carefully selected providers. When a processor is located outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on standard contractual clauses approved by the Swiss FDPIC.
- Web hosting: WPMU DEV (Incsub LLC), infrastructure located in Germany.
- Card payments: Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland), with transfers to Stripe Inc. (United States).
- Analytics: Matomo Analytics, hosted on our own Swiss infrastructure. No data is sent to Google Analytics.
- Web fonts: Google Fonts self-hosted locally, with no transmission of your IP address to Google.
- WordPress plugins: WPMU DEV (Smush, Defender, SmartCrawl, Hummingbird, Forminator), Polylang, Spectra. Functional cookies only.
Retention periods
- Order data: 10 years (Swiss accounting obligations, art. 958f CO).
- Customer account: as long as the account remains active, then 12 months of inactivity before deletion.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, immediately via the link at the bottom of each email.
- Cookies: according to the duration defined in the consent banner.
- Messages received via the contact form: 24 months.
Your rights
In accordance with art. 25 to 30 of the revised FADP, at any time you may:
- Access your data and obtain a copy.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased when processing is no longer necessary.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Request data portability for the data you have provided to us.
- Withdraw your consent at any time when processing relies on it.
To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@helvanails.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), edoeb.admin.ch.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies (cart, session, security) and, subject to your consent, audience-measurement cookies. The consent banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or refuse each category. You can change your choices at any time from the footer.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payments are end-to-end encrypted by our provider. Admin access is protected by strong authentication and login-attempt rate limiting.
Updates
This policy may be amended to reflect legal or technical changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
Refund policy
At HELVA Nails, your satisfaction is our priority. For hygiene reasons specific to nail-care products, the following policy applies.
Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return a kit unopened and in its original packaging. After this period, or if the kit has been opened, no refund can be issued for hygiene reasons.
Defective or damaged products
If your kit arrives damaged or shows a manufacturing defect, contact us within 7 days of receipt at contact@helvanails.com with a photo of the product and the delivery slip. We’ll offer a free replacement or a full refund, at your choice.
How to return an order
- Email contact@helvanails.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
- We’ll send you the return address and instructions.
- Return shipping is at your expense, except for defective products or an error on our part.
- We recommend a tracked shipment: we cannot guarantee receipt of an untracked parcel.
Refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you by email. The refund is processed to your original payment method within 10 working days. Original shipping fees are not refunded, except in the case of a defective product.
Exchange
We only exchange a kit if it is defective or damaged. For any other request (colour or size change), please return the unopened product within 14 days and place a new order.
Sale items
Sale or discounted items are not refundable, except in the case of a defect observed on delivery.
